NEW ORLEANS, LA (FOX44) — UPDATE: The New Orleans Police Department reports that Khristy Smith has been located and is in good health. They did not provide any other details relative to her disappearance.
ORIGINAL: A pregnant woman left her home in New Orleans on Wednesday, Feb. 13 and has not been seen or heard from since.
The New Orleans Police Department reports that Khristy Kenya Smith, 30, was last seen leaving her home located in the 4300 block of Tulane Avenue in Mid-City. Officials say Smith’s 15-year-old son was the last person to see her. He told officers she was heading downtown to a local business.
Smith, who is six months pregnant, has two additional children, ages 2 and 4. She left her oldest in charge of the younger siblings. She left the home at roughly 1:30 p.m.
Family members told police that Smith has never gone missing in the past.
Smith is described as an African American female, 4’09” tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds with shoulder length straight black hair, a tattoo on her right shoulder. She was last seen wearing a burgundy shirt, jean jacket, and blue pants.
