Mom and pop operations gain a helping hand at the River Center
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — Baton Rouge reached out to small mom and pop operations at the small business summit today, which was held at the Baton Rouge River Center.
Organizers say the conference was intended to educate small business owners on how to work and thrive in the city.
"It's a win-win type of opportunity for us to try to create economic success for Baton Rouge and at the same time improve the quality of life within our community," Chip Boyles, Urban Development Director, said.
The summit was free for all who wanted to participate and several officials were on hand to discuss city and parish contracting opportunities.
