WALKER, LA (FOX44) — Louisiana State Police say one man is dead tonight after being hit on Walker road.
Louisiana State Police say Joshua Benoit, 25, was driving south down LA-447, when he rear ended a White Expedition.
Then, Benoit ran off the road, hitting Ronald Farris, 55, who police say for some reason, was standing next to the passenger's side of the Expedition.
Farris was killed at the scene, and Benoit lost control of his car and hit a house.
Benoit was taken to a local hospital, and is expected to be ok.
Police say while interviewing Benoit, they found that there was another vehicle involved in the crash.
The White Ford expedition that fled the scene.
Troopers say tonight they're looking for that vehicle, it has damage to it's rear, and it's right brake light is smashed.
Trooper Russell Graham of Louisiana State Police says It's everyone's responsibility to be safe on the roads, Drivers, and Passengers.
"These kind of things can happen at anytime, anyday, any time of day, and it's just really important that everybody pay close attention to what's going on, and its incumbent upon everyone, pedestrians and drivers alike," said Graham.

This is a very sad situation.. I really hope and pray they find the vehicle that fled the scene!! God be with the family of the man who lost his life, and Josh the one who was in this accident. We love you Josh.. All is Well
