Pit bull shot dead by police officer after it attacked a man
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — Baton Rouge Police shot and killed a pit bull in the 1100 block of South 15th Street tonight.
Investigators tell us a man was being attacked by the dog shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
Animal control officers and BRPD officers went out to the scene, and we're told a Baton Rouge Police Officer shot and killed the dog.
EMS responded to the scene. They assessed and treated the patient, but not have transport him to the hospital.
