PLAQUEMINES PARISH, LA — On January 22, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff Lonnie Greco and PPSO Emergency Response and Industry Representative Skeets Williams, presented Plains Pipeline, LP District Manager Rusty Cavalier with a letter of appreciation for Plains Pipeline’s donation of an emergency generator.
The generator will be part of 2013 Hurricane Preparedness for the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Emergency Contingency Plan.
This is the second time Plains has offered a generator to the Sheriff’s Office. Last hurricane season, Plains Pipeline provided the Sheriff’s Office with a generator, which was utilized after Hurricane Isaac knocked out electricity throughout Plaquemines Parish. Moreover, Plains Pipeline recently purchased back-up cameras that were installed in 17 of the PPSO’s new fleet of Chevrolet Tahoes.
Plains Pipeline, LP is a Houston, Texas based company which operates in Belle Chasse as well as other areas of the east and west banks of the Parish.
Sheriff Greco is pleased by the gracious donations from Plains Pipeline. Sheriff Greco said, “the much needed generator will help to provide minimal interruption in service from the Sheriff’s Office to the community during a loss of electricity. Furthermore, the back-up cameras will provide for added safety to our deputies and the public.”
