The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Department is trying to identify 60 bodies that floated up from cemeteries after Hurricane Isaac.

Almost 200 bodies washed away from cemeteries after the east bank of the parish flooded with 15 feet of water.

Deputies teamed up with the LSU FACES Lab to identify 134 people, but need families to help them identify the remaining 60 bodies.

If you know someone who could be affected, call the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office at (504) 564-2525.
