Public invited to provide input for Picardy-Perkins Connection project
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — The public will have a chance to discuss the latest Green Light Project plan for the Picardy-Perkins Connection. Residents and business owners in the area are encouraged to attend tonight’s meeting.
When complete, the Picardy-Perkins Connector will provide a new connection from Perkins Road to the Picardy Avenue/I-10 Interchange and an alternate route for motorists to access Interstate 10 and Perkins Road. The project, which is planned to extend from Perkins Road between Wimbledon Subdivision and Perkins Rowe and connect to Mall of Louisiana Boulevard, will feature a four-lane curb-and-gutter roadway with a raised median, sidewalks, a new bridge crossing at Dawson Creek, and an underpass at the Kansas City Southern railroad crossing.
Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting and provide feedback and input that will help the design phase.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 4 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bluebonnet Branch Library.
