Real 'Wolf of Wall Street' talks about lowest moment
NEW YORK (CNN) — The Wolf of Wall Street is a hit at the box office.
Leonardo Dicaprio plays the role of Jordan Belfort, the real-life “Wolf of Wall Street.”
Belfort spoke with CNN,
“The lowest moment for me was not getting arrested, I was honestly relieved at that point. I knew it was an investigation for years, I already -- my life was changed, I was out of wall street, doing things right again. I knew i had to pay the piper eventually. It was almost somewhat of a relief. But then my marriage unwound very quickly after that, the thought of losing my children and not being able to be with my children, that to me was the bottom, the reality of having to move out of my house.”
Belfort pleaded guilty to Securities fraud and Money laundering.
He served 22 months of a four year sentence.
