The population of Midland, Texas is growing and someone is clearly not happy about it.

Motorists driving into the city recently saw the sign above, which was altered to say the population is "too damn many." Midland Public Information Officer Sara Higgins said many residents don't like the recent population boom.

"It's no secret that we're growing and we're growing at high rates. People who have been here, for 5, 10 years or even longer can see a real change," stated HIggins.

An estimated 120,000 people live in Midland. Higgins said they are preparing for more growth in case the population hits 200,000 by 2028.
