BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — In Baton Rouge, thousands spend about two hours without power at a time when it felt almost 105 degrees outside.
Most of the outages were in the south Sherwood Forest area.
Entergy says the outage happened because an equipment failure that knocked out power to a substation.
Traffic lights were out, and more importantly, air conditioners were quiet for about two and a half hours.
Entergy was able to get power restored to most about a half hour ago.
