Tow For Life program offers free safe ride home program for the holiday season

As the holiday season continues on, so too do the parties, which typically involve alcoholic beverages. A local towing service offers an option for drivers so they can celebrate, but end up home safely.

Guy’s Towing has begun its Tow For Life program. The Baton Rouge-based company is offering a free ride and free tow for intoxicated drivers. The service will continue through the New Year holiday.

“If this program ends up saving just one life, it will be worth all the effort,” Jason Babin, Guy’s Towing Service, said. “Too often we have to deal with the horrible results of alcohol-related vehicle fatalities. We would much rather tow people home at no cost than make money from the injuries and deaths caused by intoxicated drivers.

The only criteria an eligible driver has to meet are: your vehicle must be operable, you may not have already been detained by the police and you must be going home and not to another party location.

Guy’s Towing has offered the Tow For Life program since 1986. They have towed more than 1,000 drunk drivers in the community since its inception.

Call Guy’s Towing toll free at (800) 237-GUYS (4897). They also offer this service in the Lafayette and Broussard areas as well.
