Visitation begins today for Federal Judge Frank Polozola
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — Frank Polozola, the judge who oversaw former Governor Edwin Edwards' corruption trial, has passed away.
Polozola died late Sunday night after a battle with cancer. He was 71 years old.
He was a Catholic High graduate, played catcher for the LSU Tigers during his undergraduate career, and earned his law degree from LSU Law School.
He was named federal judge for the Middle District in 1980 by President Jimmy Carter, and became Chief Judge in 1998.
Visitation for Polozola will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd.
Visitation resumes at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Cathedral. Polozola will be buried at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
