Walmart empoyees across the country are gearing up to protest and strike against Wal-Mart.

According to two union based employee coalitions; Making a Change at Walmart and Our Walmart, there have been protests organized at all Wal-Mart and Sams Club locations in Baton Rouge and Baker Friday.

The Walmart employees are unhappy with their working conditions, high health insurance and low pay. Some locals feel that although the strikes might affect some holiday shopping, they deserve to voice their concern.

"Wal Mart is the one who gets all the money at the top and the people who work for Walmart have two jobs sometimes 8 dollars an hour in this economy doesn't work, I don't see how they should get all the benefits and the workers get nothing," says William Jefferson who live in Plaqquemine, LA.
