Walker Chief of Police resigns
WALKER, LA (FOX44) — The Walker Chief of Police has resigned.
Chief Hunter Grimes says he's taking a position with the Bureau of Investigations of the Louisiana State Police.
His resignation is effective June 10.
Grimes has been the police chief of Walker for eight years. He says he'll ask the council to honor his wishes, as well as his department's, to name Captain Marliam Lee the Interim Chief of Police.
Grimes is hoping Lee will be voted in as his permanent replacement in the November elections.
