Schimpf will go to the Toronto Blue Jays

Ryan Schimpf was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the fifth round with the 160th pick. It was the second day of the draft, and Schimpf became another on a growing list of Louisiana players to be chosen to play Major League Baseball.
