Gausman drafted by Orioles with forth overall pick in MLB draft
BATON ROUGE, LA — The Baltimore Orioles used their forth overall selection in Monday’s MLB draft to grab LSU’s Kevin Gausman.
Gausman is the highest drafted Tiger since Baltimore drafted former LSU ace Ben McDonald in 1989.
The hard throwing righty was drafted in the 6th round by the Dodgers after his high school career. He turned down a shot at professional ball to play at LSU.
He was the first pitcher selected in the 2012 draft.
