Jones resigns from Woodlawn after 1-9 season
Head football coach and athletic director at Woodlawn high school, Don Jones, sent in his resignation papers Monday. Jones was the head man for the Panthers program for the last seven year. The football team finished with a 1-9 record in 2012.
Jones tells NBC33 News he’s ready to let someone else in and give them a chance. He says he’s not actively seeking another job but would sit back and see what happens.
Under Jones, Woodlawn won back-to-back district titles when the school was in class 4A. Since moving to class 5A the team has struggled.
