Several of Baton Rouge's best basketball players announced they'd spend their college careers right here in the Capitol City.

Prized recruit Brian Bridgewater chose LSU over several other offers from across the nation. The 6’5” forward will join Johnny Jones’s team after leading Scotlandville High to back-to-back state titles.

Also, Jaylin Banks, the son of Southern Head Coach Roman Banks, will join teammate Jared Sam on the Bluff as Jaguars.

On the women’s side, Kenya Dixon and Lanae Bickham will continue their hoops careers at Florida A&M and BRCC.
