Three Runnels students to play baseball, run track at Louisiana universities
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — It's signing day for three Raiders at Runnels High School.
Josh Morris will return to the diamond as a Northwestern Demon.
"They had everything that I wanted, and gave me the best offer for my abilities,” stated Morris.
Andrew and Matthew Brouillette will hit the track in Southeastern's green and gold.
With these two brothers going to the same school, they plan to push each other on the track and off the track. Their dad couldn’t be any happier.
"I was very excited,” stated the father. “They have talent, and I was excited that they wanted to continue their running."
For Runnels track coach Cindy Morris, it's a big day. Josh is her son, and she coaches the Brouillette twins.
"Being able to see Josh develop throughout the years through baseball has been a great thing for us," said Cindy. “It's been great watching them all grow up through the last four years – Josh, Andrew and Matthew”
Now, the three student athletes are ready for the next four years.
