The McNeese State Cowboys fell by a score of 6-0 against the Tigers of Louisiana State in the final game of a six-game stretch of road games.
The Cowboys return home to host the Islanders of Texas A&M - Corpus Christi this weekend in a Southland Conference series.
McNeese falls to 10-31 on the year overall while the Tigers improved to 25-16-1 on the season.
Starter Jonathan Conrad took the loss for the Cowboys to fall to 1-6 on the season. LSU starter Daniel Bradshaw picked up the victory to improve to 2-5 on the season.
Conrad pitched seven innings for the Pokes, giving up four runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out none.
The Tigers got on the board on a Matt Clark homerun in the bottom of the fourth inning to put the Tigers up 2-0.
LSU would add single runs in the bottom of the sixth and seventh innings and two in the ninth to close out the scoring at 6-0.
Taylor Freeman registered the only hit for the Cowboys as he led off the fifth inning with a single to right field. He was the only Cowboy to reach base on the night.
