Miles: Jeremy Hill remains suspended from LSU football team
HOOVER, AL (FOX44) — Despite being sentenced, Jeremy Hill will remain suspended from the LSU football team, Les Miles said on Thursday, July 18.
Coach Miles told reporters at SEC Media Days that he will “wait till the end and see what’s going on” before making a decision regarding whether Hill will return to the purple and gold.
Hill was suspended from the team following his arrest on Saturday, April 27. He was charged with Simple Battery for punching a man in the parking lot of a Baton Rouge bar located in Tigerland.
On Friday, July 12, Hill pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 2 years probation, 50 hours of community service, $375 in restitution, and an anger management class. His curfew is still in place, and he'll need to write an apology letter.
“I know that he is paying a tremendous price,” Miles added.
