
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma - — NBA scoring champion Kevin Durant scored 36 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Miami Heat in game one of the NBA Finals, 105-94.
Durant scored 17 of his 36 points in the forth quarter to help the Thunder rally from a 13 point deficit.
Durant’s teammate Russell Westbrook added 27 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds in the series opening win.
LeBron James scored 30 points to go with 9 rebounds and Dwyane Wade added 19 points for the Heat in a losing effort.
The win gives the Thunder a 1-0 series lead over the Heat.
Game two is set for Thursday at 8 p.m. CDT.
