Former NFL great and current ESPN analyst Ray Lewis will be the headline speaker at this year’s LSU Football Coaches Clinic, which will be held at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on March 27-29, head coach Les Miles announced on Wednesday.

Lewis, a future NFL Hall of Famer, is considered one of the best linebackers to ever play the game as he finished his pro career with two Super Bowl titles and 13 Pro Bowl appearances. He was also named NFL Defensive Player of the Year three times.

“We are extremely honored and excited to have one of the all-time great football players in Ray Lewis serve as the featured speaker at this year’s clinic,” Miles said. “Ray is a great ambassador for the game of football and his knowledge and experience will provide our coaches with great perspective on what it means to be a teacher and coach.”

In addition to Lewis, this year’s LSU Football Coaches Clinic will feature New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, Oakland Raiders special teams coordinator Bobby April and quarterback coaching guru George Whitfield.

“We have assembled an all-star lineup for this year’s event,” Miles said. “This group of speakers along with the other presenters will make this year’s clinic the best we’ve ever offered.”

The LSU Football Coaches Clinic will give participants an opportunity to see the Tigers practice on Thursday, March 27 and then watch an LSU scrimmage on Saturday, March 29 in Tiger Stadium. There will also be a barbeque social and a crawfish boil for the coaches.
