Pelicans forward diagnosed with herniated disc

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that forward Ryan Anderson has been diagnosed with a herniated disc and is out indefinitely.

Anderson’s injury is a result of his collision with Celtics forward, Gerald Wallace, during the fourth quarter of Friday’s game in Boston.

In 22 games this season, Anderson is averaging 19.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 36.1 minutes per game. The sixth-year veteran holds career averages of 12.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 356 games.
