Kyle Myers StormTracker Meteorologist
Kyle Myers joined the StormTracker33 Weather Team in June 2012. He works, mainly, during the weekend, but can also be seen filling in for other news gathers when needed.
Before moving to Baton Rouge, Kyle forecasted for KNOE-TV8 in Monroe, LA from November 2010 to June 2012. Before that, KLFY's Live Doppler 10 Storm Tracker Weather Team from August 2008 to October 2010 in Lafayette, LA.
Kyle received his degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Missouri in May 2008. During his studies, Kyle worked as the fill-in and weekend meteorologist from Sept. 2006 to Aug. 2008 at KRCG in Jefferson City, Missouri. He also has worked as a forensic meteorologist for WeatherCall in college.
Kyle was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. This was where his dream of becoming a meteorologist came about. Thunderstorms and tornadoes often roll through the Midwest which, at a young age, frightened Kyle. However, he learned how to turn that anxiety of danger into curiosity and thrill by his teenage years. During high school, he decided to pursue an internship with one of the top television meteorologists, Bryan Busby, in Kansas City at KMBC. Meteorologist Bryan Busby was the 2011 AMS Broadcast Meteorologist of the year for his outstanding weather communication, mentorship, sustained dedication to the public, and for service to the AMS broadcast community.
In Kyle's free time, you'll catch him watching funny movies, laying by the pool in the summer, snow-skiing in the winter, traveling the world, and enjoying life. Christmas and Halloween are his favorite holidays.
